We’re pleased to announce that our unofficial BBC iPlayer plugin for DivX Connected is now open source and available on GitHub at https://github.com/mesmotronic/connected-iplayer
The plugin’s built using a mixture of MXML and JavaScript, so even if you don’t have a DivX Connected set top box, it could be a useful starting point for anyone looking to build an unofficial BBC iPlayer of their own.
Enjoy!
Great Plugin for iPlayer.
Any chance of similar for ITVplayer & 4OD?
I cannot find any tutorials for making plugins, I have done html but not Javascript
We looked at creating plug-ins for 4OD and ITV Player in the past, but neither service appears to offer the RSS feeds (publicly available lists of programs in a machine-readable format, like XML) or any other method which would allow us to create a suitable DivX Connected menu system.
If you can find anything, let us know and we’d be happy to take another look.
As an example, these are the feeds available for BBC iPlayer: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/feeds
Thank you for that, I realise the connected box is a little old hat now but some of us still prefer it to newer products.
Is it possible to create a plugin for TVersity?. I noticed that there are RSS feeds available
Cheers
I have been using this pluging quite alot recently, works flawlessly via homeplugs.
The age verification does not work, are there any plans to address this
Thanks in advance
This is an issue we’ve had under review for some time, but due to the lack of a cursor and control over third party websites, no solution has yet been found for selecting the “I agree” button.
While we’d be happy to have a look into it, TVersity is a proprietary download application, rather than a website, so while it may be possible to display a list of available programs, it is unlikely that it would be possible to actually watch them.
