The basic building blocks for this kind of DivX Connected plug-in are normally an RSS feed or API listing the available TV programs, plus a method of playback that can auto start, i.e. does not require user interaction to begin.

Playback needs to be Flash-based (either a SWF or an HTML page already containing an embedded Flash player, with no surrounding HTML content) or in a video format DivX Connected can play directly (DivX, Xvid, etc); DivX Connected does not support video playback using other browser plug-ins or the HTML5 video tag.

No, it's not possible to create a Sky Player plug-in because it uses Silverlight technology, rather than Flash, which is not supported by DivX Connected.

That would be absolutely brilliant if you could get itvplayer and 4od sorted.

Could it be an idea to contact channel 4 and itv directly and ask them?

If you let me know exactly what is needed to start creating the divx plugin I would be more than happy to contact both itv and channel 4.

Let me know asap.

Thank you

We've been looking into it, but haven't been able to find any RSS feeds or an API for ITV Player content, which is the minimum we'd need to start creating a DivX Connected plug-in.

If you can find anything, let us know and we'll see what we can do! Same goes for 4OD, Demand Five, etc.
